Transport and handling of dangerous goods. Multimodal transportation. Warehouse logistics

These courses are intended for management, engineering and rank-and-file personnel of the enterprises, as well as other specialists involved in transportation and handling of dangerous goods by various modes of transport. According to the international and national regulations, specialized training in transportation and handling of dangerous goods must be completed by any employee who is in one way or another involved in this kind of activity. The courses are recommended for shippers, carriers, consignees, freight forwarders and transport and logistics companies.

The following basic training programs are provided in this area:

During the courses the students study, in particular, the UN Model Regulations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code), Agreement on International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN), Appendix 2 of the Regulations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods to the Agreement on International Goods Transport by Rail, ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (ICAO TI), International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS 74), International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL 73/78), International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) and other international regulations and standards. In addition the Russian regulatory and legal framework applicable to the carriage of dangerous goods is studied.

Candidates for the training must have a higher or specialized secondary education, or at the time of training they must be trained in programs of higher or specialized secondary education. Upon completion of training, course graduates who have successfully passed the exam receive certificates of advanced training of the established form. Graduates from the management and engineering staff with sufficient experience in handling dangerous goods may, at their personal request, be nominated for certification by the International Dangerous Goods and Containers Association as dangerous goods safety advisers. The duration of the adviser certificate is 5 years.
