Development of Safety Data Sheets for Chemical Products
Safety data sheets (SDSs) must be developed for hazardous chemical products. This development is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (Chapter 1.5 and Appendix 4), as well as GOST 30333-2022 - Safety Data Sheets for Chemical Products. General Requirements.
A safety data sheet (SDS) must contain reliable information, presented in an accessible and concise form, sufficient to enable the consumer (purchaser) to take the necessary measures to ensure the protection of human health and safety, including in the workplace, and environmental protection at all stages of the chemical product's life cycle. The information required to compile the SDS must be obtained from sources recognized as competent in the relevant SDS sections, or from studies (tests) conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The safety data sheet must include the following sections, arranged in a specific order:

3) Composition (information on components);
4) First aid measures;
5) Fire and explosion safety measures and equipment;
6) Measures to prevent and eliminate accidents and emergency situations and their consequences;
7) Rules for storing chemical products and handling them during loading and unloading operations;
8) Means of exposure control and personal protective equipment;
9) Physicochemical properties;
10) Stability and reactivity;

15) Information on national and international legislation;
16) Additional information.
Experts from the International Dangerous Goods and Containers Association (IDGCA) and its subsidiaries, including the International Staff Training Center (ISTC), have an extensive experience developing safety data sheets. Safety data sheets are registered with the IDGCA, which maintains a special registry.
