Ship Fuel Quantity & Quality Inspector
Ship Fuel Quantity & Quality Inspector (SFQQI) is an official of state control-and-supervisory authorities or an appointed official of the enterprise, who monitors the quantity and quality of fuel received. His functions include the following:
- checking quality certificates for petroleum products;
- control of the stability of the mixture of petroleum products (if necessary);
- checking the bunkering plan;
- control of the vessel’s readiness to receive fuel;
- sampling of the fuel received;
- control of tank filling procedure
- pressure control upstream of deck filters;
- carrying out control measurements in the tanks of the fuel receiving vessel and comparing them with the data of the bunker vessel;
- calculation of the amount of fuel taken on board the ship, taking into account the water content;
- calculation of volumetric and mass indicators of the amount of fuel;
- checking bunker documents for quantity and quality;
- control of fuel transfer operations from ship to ship;
- calculating the amount of fuel received, taking into account corrections for heel, trim and fuel temperature.
The volume of the training program “Ship Fuel Quantity & Quality Inspector” is 40 ac. hours.
Based on the results of certification in the International Dangerous Goods and Containers Association, graduates receive advanced training certificates and “Ship Fuel Quantity & Quality Inspector” certificates of international standard, which are recognized by Russian competent authorities and foreign companies.
